Kid Connection

 

What is Kid Connection?
The mission of Kid Connection is to foster the intellectual, emotional, social, and creative growth of children and youth. We are a non-political, local-based organization with no affiliation to a state or national association. One hundred percent of the funds that we raise will go directly into projects that benefit our children. We promote family values and enriching experiences in order to make our children’s education experience the best it can be!
 
Who is Kid Connection?
Kid Connection members are all parents of Albrecht Elementary School students. Our main focus is simple…our kids! We are always encouraging greater involvement of parents with their children. Kid Connection is now and always will be open to any new helpers, ideas and comments.
 
When is Kid Connection?
Our planning sessions are generally every other month in the Elementary LMC. We meet at 7:00 p.m. and we would love to have you join us.
 
How can YOU get involved?
If you are interested in being part of Kid Connection, please contact the elementary school office for information. We would love to have you, even if you can only participate in a few events.

 

August 30th - Back to School Night  4-6pm - Children and parents are invited to bring their school supplies and meet their new teacher. Ice cream will be available. Remember to drop off the parent information portion of this form to be entered into a drawing for a Kid Connection shirt. 

 

September 29th - AutumnFest- Stop downtown and check out our booth at AutumnFest. 

 

October 19th 6pm - Ooza Palooza- Halloween themed party: Slime, cookie decorating and other fun crafts. Food will be available. We will also have a coloring contest where all of the students can dress Charlie in his favorite Halloween costume! 

 

November 16th 6pm- Date Night - Enjoy a night of shopping or out to dinner while we watch the kids! ** November meeting will be the 1st Thursday of the month **

 

December 17th - Secret Santa Shop - Students will get the chance to shop for gifts for their family members and pets. 

 

January 14th - 18th The Pop Tab Challenge - Students bring in pop tabs. The classroom in each grade with the most tabs wins an ice cream party! Benefits the Ronald McDonald House

 

January 18th 6pm - Book Swap - help your children choose books that they’ve outgrown or are ready to trade for new reading adventures. Food will be available.

 

 

 

 

February 15th 6pm- Sweetheart Dance - Put on your best shoes and join us for a fun filled night of dancing. Food will be available.  ** February meeting will be the 1st Thursday of the month**

 

March 22nd 6pm- Movie Night- Join us for a movie in the elementary school multipurpose room doors open at 6 movie starts at 6:30. Food will be available. 

 

April 26th 5-8pm- Carnival - Great prizes, jumping machine, cake walk, cotton candy, food court, terrific raffle prizes, something for everyone! A complete carnival held in the elementary school. Raffle and Auction items. **April meeting will be the 1st Thursday of the month**

 

May - Frozen Treat -  All students will enjoy a frozen treat at school! Treats will be provided to students after they compete in Field days. 

 

May 17th 6pm - Bingo - Join us for a night of B-I-N-G-O! Food will be available.
