Rae Tompson, High School Counselor

Hi there! I am Rae Tompson (they/them) and I am the school counselor at Brodhead High School. I grew up in Manitowoc, WI and graduated from Lincoln High School. For my bachelor’s degree, I attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. I majored in psychology with a minor in family studies. After graduating I then attended University of Wisconsin Stout where I graduated with my master’s in school counseling. When I’m not working I love to get out in nature through hiking.  A favorite spot of mine being Hoffman Hills up near UW Stout.

As a school counselor in the high school my goal is to help all students with their social, emotional, and post secondary planning needs. From talking about what is going on in their lives to discussing what they want to do after high school, students can come to me for help. School counselors also collaborate with other school staff along with different providers, community resources, and adults in the students’ lives to set them up for success.
